Boost traffic with this simple 30-second trick

Today’s post will be a short and simple one designed to help you boost traffic. If you’ve put a lot of effort into creating great content, it’s always disappointing when it doesn’t gain as much traction as you had hoped for.

One of the easiest ways to generate quality traffic is to turn your team into your most loyal brand ambassadors.  It’s likely that you already have a social media strategy that involves posting your latest content to your corporate accounts.

The 30 SECOND TRICK

Next time you post a piece of content, send an email to your team. Ask them to share it on their own social media channels. If you work in B2B, you might ask them to focus on LinkedIn or perhaps Twitter, whereas for B2C audiences Facebook might be more relevant.

Of course, you can’t compel people to participate and some will choose not to – that’s fine. But even a handful of shares soon after a piece of content is posted can have an exponential impact on traffic. Don’t forget that the mysterious algorithms that decide which content is shown to a wider audience and which content gets buried takes cues from early engagement.

Ask managers to lead by example, and remind your team regularly in person that their support is appreciated. Your employees are likely to be connected to other people in your industry, so it’s a logical way to expand your reach within communities that are already interested in your point of view. You can set off a chain reaction

It’s not going to crash your site, but it will make an impact and provide a steady boost in traffic.

Let me know how you get on in the comments.
